The 36th annual Peninsula Paddle for the Kids is gearing up for another fabulous fundraising event!!  On Saturday, April 1st members of the Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club will paddle for 10 long and arduous hours from Brentwood Bay to their clubhouse on the Gorge.  This journey, approximately 75km, is held each year to fundraise for Easter Seals Camp Shawnigan.

Easter Seals Camp Shawnigan is a residential summer camp for children with disabilities.  The camp programs are open to children with physical and cognitive disabilities.  For one week each year the campers get to experience all the freedom and fun of summer camp while focusing on their abilities.  Thanks to wonderful events at Easter Seals, such as Peninsula Paddle for the Kids, almost 300 kids will be able to go to Camp Shawnigan this year.

Last year, this amazing event brought in over $22,000 which brings the overall total to over $300,000 since its inception.
