Easter Seals Camp Shawnigan is proud to be a charity partner of the Oak Bay Half Marathon run.
Registration for the 2023 Oak Bay Half Marathon is now open. Presented by Virgin Radio and Frontrunners, the race date is Sunday, May 28 and includes a Half Marathon, 10K, a four-person relay and a 1km kids run. All the races start and finish in Windsor Park in the heart of Victoria’s Oak Bay.
In 2022 over 1,500 participated in the event and it is expected that numbers will be high again with runners and walkers coming from Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, across Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
“We had a very successful race in 2022 after a two-year absence because of COVID, in which we saw record numbers across every event, raising much needed funds for our charities,” says event manager Nick Walker. “We are extremely excited to continue building the event for 2023 and beyond. Oak Bay provides a truly world class route that we love to highlight to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.”
Charity partners are Santas Anonymous and Easter Seals, British Columbia & Yukon. The early bird fees until January 1 are $70 for the Half Marathon, $40 for the 10K, $140 for the relay and $15 for the kids run.
