All Volunteer applicants shall apply online and will participate in a staff interview. There are limited spaces for Volunteers throughout the summer so we ask that interested individuals apply early. This is a rigorous process due to the nature of our program and the demands made on staff and volunteers to provide and ensure the highest possible camper care at all points. If you have questions about this program, please contact the Director at 604-873-1865 or 1-800-818-4483 or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org. The minimum age for a volunteer is 17 years old.
Community Volunteer Program:
This program is for leaders who want to offer their skills, while growing and learning from our camp community. At camp you will demonstrate and develop your leadership, compassion, teamwork, creativity and commitment skills – valuable qualities in any employee. And for many, camp is a stepping stone to careers in medicine, physiotherapy or occupational therapy, nursing, education, and recreation.
- Camper care – attending to the camper’s emotional well being
- Safety – ensure that effective standards of safety are maintained at all time
- Program – coordinate activities outside of scheduled program periods
- General – attend staff meetings and perform general camp duties
Past Camper Volunteer Program:
This program is designed for young leaders who have attended our summer camping program and ideally have had some leadership training since their time at camp. As a volunteer you will have an opportunity to give back to kids and develop your leadership skills. Volunteers love being able to help with some of the ‘behind the scenes’ tasks that help make camp such an incredible experience for the current campers.
We strongly recommend that Easter Seals campers have participated in some form of leadership training, including gaining a summer’s experience volunteering or taking a leadership program at another summer camp, prior to applying to be considered for a volunteer opportunity. If you have questions about this program, please contact the Director at 604-873-1865 or 1-800-818-4483 or by email: email@example.com. The minimum age for a past camper volunteer is 18 years old.
Spring Clean Up Volunteers
Each spring we look for volunteers to help us do a spring clean of our camps and Easter Seals House. Gather up a team of friends, family, co-workers or classmates and help make everything magical for our guests.
