This year, the Compass program ran its first in-person session! We had 5 participants actively engaged in Compass at Easter Seals House and 7 participants that completed the online session.
We’ve had fabulous guest speakers from RBC, UBC, and Community Living BC (CLBC) give pertinent talks on budgeting, healthy relationships, housing, and so much more. The in-person group also mastered their cooking skills at Easter Seals House! Both Compass groups worked hard for the past 13 weeks and graduated from the program last week.
Starting in May, Client Services will launch the second tier for Compass. Compass II will include guest speakers from local colleges to discuss career exploration and how to access learning support in post-secondary programs. DIVERSEcity will also support our programming by facilitating Upskills Training and Computer Basics, where participants will receive support in their resumes, interview skills, and more.
