Camp Staff
Easter Seals BC/Yukon is seeking qualified firms to provide Food and Housekeeping services at Camp Winfield and at Camp Shawnigan during camping season.
Easter Seals BC/Yukon has undertaken a Request for Proposal (“RFP”) process to solicit services for Camp Winfield and Camp Shawnigan.
If you know of anyone who may be qualified and interested in submitting a proposal, please have them contact Easter Seals BC/Yukon and request an RFP package. The RFP package provides full details about the duties and requirements of the contract and includes instructions on how to submit a proposal.
Please note the response due dates indicated below.
Camp Winfield:
Food Services – Winfield
- Operate the Winfield kitchen and prepare meals for campers, counselors, support workers, volunteers & staff.
- Meals are required during training days (7 days) and family camp (3 days) in June (Dates TBA). On training days, meals will be required for approximately 20 persons, and during family camp for approximately 80 persons.
- Meals are required for approximately 100 persons when the camp is in session from June 30th through July 26th 2019.
- Meal services are generally 3 meals per day, with the exception of the first and last day of each cycle.
- Camp Winfield has a fully equipped kitchen.
- Interested proponents will be required to develop healthy menus and source and manage food contracts.
- Interested parties should request RFP: 2018-001001
- Responses must be received by February 8th, 2019
Housekeeping Services – Winfield
- Provide general housekeeping services at the camp when camp is in session.
- Services are required during training (7 days), and during family camp (3 days) in June (Dates TBA).
- Services are required when the camp is in session from June 30th through July 26th 2019.
- Interested parties should request RFP: 2018-002001
- Responses must be received by February 22, 2018
Camp Shawnigan:
Food Services – Shawnigan

Every year we hire energetic, dedicated individuals who show compassion, leadership and creativity and want to have an active, rewarding summer experience. For many, camp is a stepping stone to careers in medicine, physiotherapy/occupational therapy, nursing, education and recreation. Board of Directors
The BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities / Easter Seals BC/Yukon (Society) is a registered charity governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Society is actively seeking interested candidates for the Board from a broad range of experiences including representatives from the disability sector (family member or caretaker), finance, law, community agencies, education, social services, real estate, business, fundraising and the Lions Clubs. The Society’s bylaws require 50% of the Directors be represented by the Lions Clubs and 50% from the community. Directors are appointed for two years and renewable up to three terms. Interested candidates can submit a letter of interest together with a CV to the Governance/Nominations Committee at board@eastersealsbcy.ca. Volunteers
Volunteering is a great way to gain experience, meet exciting new people and help enable children and adults with disabilities. Opportunities are always available to help at camps, events or in the office.
