Assistant, Volunteer Engagement
As a member of the Volunteer Program team, the Assistant will work closely with the Coordinator, Volunteer Program to help build the tools for the successful recruitment, retention and recognition of volunteer resources for the Society. You will help develop and implement the orientation, training, recognition and retention of volunteers, and perform volunteer needs assessment for the various departments. The role of Accounting Clerk involves hands-on experience in major accounting cycles and supports the Director of Finance with capital and operational budgeting. This is ideal for an accounting student who is keen to gain experience in internal controls, forecasting and analysis. You will process and ensure compliance for hourly payroll, update operating and capital budgeting schedules, and analyze financial operating results and report on significant variances to Departments. Activity Leader – Urban Activities Program
In this role, you will provide supervision and support to participants in the Easter Seals Urban Activities Program (UAP). The UAP is an activity-based day program that aims to help youth ages 13-18 and young adults ages 19-29 develop new skills and confidence in a fun, friendly environment. The program is based out of Vancouver, North Van, and Surrey. This is a full-time, 6 week position funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Grant, starting June 24th, 2019 and finishing August 5th, 2019. Assistant, Marketing and Communications
As a member of the Marketing & Communications team you will provide support to the Manager of Marketing & Communications. Various responsibilities include: assist in the development and production of a wide range of marketing and communication materials; assist in preparing, writing and designing newsletters; assist in the preparation and writing of press releases, briefs, blogs, interviews and similar documents; update and manage website content; produce and/or edit videos for use in promotion; create, design and write social media posts; and track and prepare reports on social media.
