LEARN MORE
Easter Seals BC/Yukon is a service of the BC Lions Society For Children With Disabilities. As a trusted charity since it began from the vision of the East Vancouver Lions Club, Easter Seals is dedicated to providing programs and services to persons with diverse abilities that help build their self-esteem, self-confidence and sense of independence.
In British Columbia, approximately 926,100 adults between the ages of 15 to 64 have a disability that limits their independence and quality of life.
For many, a disability can affect how they see themselves and how they view their own abilities.
Our Mission:
To inspire communities across B.C. and the Yukon to support,
and enable access for, individuals with disabilities.
Our Vision:
To enable abilities in our communities.
Our Future
In 2017 our Board of Directors and Management Team developed a new strategic plan to map out the future for Easter Seals BC & Yukon. Dramatic changes to the charitable landscape, declines in funding and ageing facilities, requires new strategies to ensure the Society can continue to support families and persons of all ages with diverse abilities. And that’s just not for today or next year, but for decades to come.
As we look to the future, we will turn to our valued supporters for input as we reimagine a future where all people with diverse abilities will benefit from Easter Seals BC & Yukon. Sign up to receive updates and learn more about community meetings, committees, and other opportunities to get involved. Times are changing, yet our commitment to helping kids and persons with diverse abilities remains unchanged.
We need your support more than ever. Please help enable abilities in our communities by donating today.
