Easter Seals BC & Yukon is a service of the British Columbia Lions Society for Children with Disabilities. As a trusted charity since 1952, we are dedicated to providing programs and services to persons with disabilities that help build their self-esteem, self-confidence and sense of independence.
In British Columbia and Yukon, approximately 736,000 adults and 26,000 children and youth have a disability that limits their independence and quality of life.
For many, a disability can affect how they see themselves and how they view their own abilities.
To inspire communities across B.C. and the Yukon to support,
and enable access for, individuals with disabilities.
To enable abilities in our communities.
2018 is the start of a new journey together.
In 2017 our Board of Directors and Management Team developed a new strategic plan to map out the future for Easter Seals BC & Yukon. Dramatic changes to the charitable landscape, declines in funding and aging facilities, requires new strategies to ensure the Society can continue to support families and persons of all ages with disabilities. And that’s just not for today or next year, but for decades to come.
As we look to the future, we will turn to our valued supporters for input as we reimagine a future where all people with disabilities will benefit from Easter Seals BC & Yukon. Sign up to receive updates and learn more about community meetings, committees, and other opportunities to get involved. Times are changing, yet our commitment to helping kids and persons with disabilities remains unchanged.
We need your support more than ever. Please help enable abilities in our communities by donating today.
