November 2, 2022 – Kelowna, BC – After a 3-year hiatus, the 9th annual Texas Hold’Em Charity Poker Tournament hosted by CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty Ltd. was back in action at the card tables.
Over one-hundred poker players helped raise $30,000 to fund Easter Seals Camp Winfield that provides an overnight summer camping experience for children, youth and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities in Lake Country.
“Each year our office rallies together to raise funds to send kids to Camp Winfield. These camps are so important to the development of kids and adults with disabilities. It puts a smile on their faces and ours,” says Anna Carbone, co-owner of CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty Ltd. “We are so proud to be part of a community like Easter Seals that supports people with disabilities and gives them an opportunity to explore and learn new skills in a fun camp environment.”
CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty Ltd. is a long-time supporter of Easter Seals, with their C21 Kids To Camp Program. Over the last 12 years, they have raised over $375,000 through local philanthropic events that help raise awareness of Camp Winfield. Select Realtors make donations with the sale or purchase of a home through the CENTURY 21 Closing Gifts for Kids program.
“This annual fundraiser helps us raise vital funds needed to run our programs, and we are so grateful to Anna and her team who focus their fundraising efforts towards Easter Seals,” says Lisa Beck, President and CEO of Easter Seals BC/Yukon.
