Easter Seals Welcomes Erica Evans as Director of Client Services

The Board of Directors at Easter Seals BC/Yukon is pleased to announce the appointment of Erica Evans as our new Director of Client Services. As Director, Erica will lead the development and delivery of new programs to meet the needs of people living with disabilities and help to enhance their quality of life. Erica will expand educational program offerings, deliver health and wellness programming, and build and implement a strong peer-facilitation program.

“The Client Services Department is a new avenue of programming for Easter Seals and we are delighted to appoint Erica to take the lead on the management and expansion of this portfolio,” says Lisa Beck, CEO at Easter Seals BC/Yukon. “We know we can do more to fill the gaps in service for persons with disabilities, and Erica’s experience across the social service sector will help us do this.”

Erica has over 10 years of professional experience coming from her work providing services to persons with developmental disabilities at the non-profit posAbilities. There she supported implementation of behaviour support programs, as well as projects focusing on life skills, health and career activation, coordinated through workshops and training opportunities.

“Erica’s experience combined with her proven ability at identifying opportunities, developing partnerships, and leading initiatives, will be a great asset to help build on Easter Seals’ past successes and deliver an exciting future,” adds Beck.

The Client Services Department will work alongside the already established Easter Seals Camps and Easter Seals House programs and services. For more than 75 years, Easter Seals in BC has helped children and adults address life’s challenges by providing experiences and tools to build their self-esteem, self-confidence and sense of independence. A service of the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities, Easter Seals is dedicated to providing programs and services that support and enable access for persons with diverse abilities.
